Panotour.ch was founded in 2011 as one of the first providers of virtual tours in Switzerland. Our journey led us to join the Google Trusted Photographers program in 2013, and since then, we have published thousands of 360-degree photos on Google Street View, accumulating millions of views.

Marc Cathomen, the founder and owner of Panotour, has been working in the field of virtual environments since 1996, during the early days of VRML.

Our team consists of talented photographers based in different locations throughout Switzerland, as well as skilled image editors, virtual tour moderators, and UX designers. Our image editors work meticulously to ensure the highest quality visuals, while our virtual tour moderators curate the interactive elements to provide a seamless and engaging user experience. Our UX designers focus on creating user-friendly interfaces that cater to the diverse needs of our clients.

For international projects, we partner with professional photographers near the shooting location who are also part of the Google Trusted Photographers program.

Our goal is to thoroughly understand the needs of our customers and to continuously evolve our Panotour product to meet those needs. 

Over the years, Panotour has built an impressive customer base, including the City of Zurich, large ski resorts like Andermatt Sedrun Disentis, regional marketing sites such as surselva.info, and hotel chains like sunstar.ch. Recently, we have expanded our services to the health sector, working with clients such as Hirslanden Kliniken, Universitätsspital Zürich, and several nursing homes for the City of Zurich and private organizations. We have also been creating Google Street View tours for all showrooms of Fust Küchen und Bäder, a renowned Swiss kitchen and bathroom provider.

The Panotour Platform

Our Panotour platform enables us to create immersive, interactive experiences that include navigation menus and clickable information hotspots with multimedia content. All our Panotours are responsive and compatible with a variety of devices, ensuring a seamless experience for every user.

We also offer compatibility with VR headsets such as Meta Quest (Oculus) and Google Cardboard VR viewers, allowing users to explore our virtual tours with even greater immersion.

Airpanos: 360-Degree Drone Photography

As a feature to our virtual tours, we also specialize in 360-degree drone photography, known as Airpanos. Our Airpanos capture stunning images of landscapes and provide exceptional overviews of project locations. These aerial panoramas elevate the visual impact of our virtual tours, offering viewers a unique perspective on their surroundings.
